Just as important as the happiness of the children is that Mums & Dads can finally relax and enjoy their holidays as well in this peaceful and family friendly environment.
The shared outdoor swimming pool (11.5 x 5.5 m) is heated (water temperature at 28°C – 30°C), salt-filtered (soft on skin and eyes) and fenced with child-proof gates to protect my little guests. The terrace area, paved in local stone, has ten comfortable sun loungers, floor cushions and several sun umbrellas. Some inflatable pool toys are available.
Travelling with little ones is never completely hassle free, so in order to help you on your journey to us I offer to do some shopping for you. To get you started I also provide a little of some staple items such as coffee, tea, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt & pepper, cleaning materials, dishwasher tablets and toilet paper.
If you do not fancy cooking on the evening you arrive, I can offer you to pre-order a homemade quiche from a local lady at the market (she uses only local, seasonal produce and organic where possible). We have tested them ourselves and they are delicious! Prices and options on request.
An extensive information guide awaits you in your family friendly cottage, listing all the wonderful child friendly restaurants in our area, the sightseeing, farmers and evening markets, medieval festivals, vineyards, brocantes, local activities, shops, pharmacies, doctors and more.
While the children are playing outside or in the playroom you can have a manicure, pedicure, facial or other beauty treatment in the privacy of your own cottage with our local qualified Beauty and Holistic therapist Karen.
Wendy on the other hand can offer you Reiki, Indian head massage, reflexology, an anti-stress back massage or a hot stone massage, either for the back or the whole body. Time to relax!
The laundry room is equipped with two washing machines and one tumble dryer. You will find an ironing board and iron in each cottage. All bed linen, bath and pool towels are included in the rental price.
It is available in your cottage and on the grounds but please keep in mind that you will be staying in rural France, therefore the connection can be a little bit temperamental from time to time. There is enough bandwidth to send and receive emails, but not for streaming movies or music.
Velo du Lot have almost every kind of bike you could want, from carbon race bikes to electric tourers...….and even a trailer for the kids. Simon and his wife will deliver the bikes to and collect them from your gîte. Discover our beautiful part of the world at your own pace.
Helen has been practicing yoga for 15 years and teaching Hatha yoga for 7 years. Hatha yoga benefits both body and mind through stretches, yoga postures and relaxation techniques. It can be adapted to all fitness levels and age groups. She even works with kids. La Dolce is such a beautiful environment to relax anyway.....but let Helen help you just that little bit more.
